Well done to all who took part in the recent singles competition. There was a record entry of over 40 for the competition kindly sponsored by Jimmy Bergin Jewellers. The competition had mens and ladies A, B and C sections. Due to the high entry level the competition was run through out May and June. Presentation of prizes took place in July. Prize winners were presented with Galway Crystal by Jimmy Bergin. Prize winners as follows; Mens A Section Winner Owen Behan, Runner Up Paul Van Amersforth; Mens B Section Winner Michael Rafter, Runner Up Garry Luttrell; and Mens C Section Winner Declan Stanley, Runner Up Eddie Dunne. Ladies A Section Winner Mary Daly, Runner Up Trisha Dowling Ladies B Section Winner Michelle Stone, Runner Up Bridie Fennelly; Ladies C Section Winner Sue Ramsbottom, Runner Up Helen Davies.
